Marketing Intern - AEC

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic marketing intern to join the UG team to assist in the execution of marketing and communications-based initiatives. The marketing intern will focus on content strategy, social media management, and data gathering and analysis. The role will have cross-departmental and functional exposure as well as opportunities to interact with members of the UG leadership team. The ideal candidate will be an innovative thinker with an eye for detail and a desire to make an impact as a part of a small team.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Content Strategy:
    • Assist in developing and implementing content strategies to drive engagement and brand awareness across various channels
    • Conduct research to identify trending topics, keywords, and content ideas relevant to our target audience
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling content, including blog posts, social media posts, graphics, and more
  2. Social Media Management:
    • Manage and update social media platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube
    • Create and schedule engaging social media posts that align with our brand voice and marketing objectives
    • Monitor social media channels for comments, messages, and mentions, and engage with our audience in a timely and professional manner
    • Track and analyze social media performance metrics and trends using native reporting features and HubSpot
  3. Data Gathering and Analysis:
    • Assist in collecting and organizing historical project data
    • Assist in the development and optimization of the database framework

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Is knowledgeable and interested in social media for businesses (trends, best practices, analytics, fresh ideas)
  • Enjoys collaboration but also thrives doing ‘heads-down’ work independently
